In 2021 the Hospital has seen its activity increase and at the same time it has been able to improve its results, a total of 1,775 surgeries have been performed on patients referred from the entire network of Mutua centers, covering the needs raised in every moment, we cannot forget the beginning of that year marked by the consequences of Filomena and the constant implementation of protocols and measures as the pandemic evolved.
As for the type of surgery, the majority is trauma surgery with 1,533 interventions in 2021, a result of the nature of our entity. Treatment for pain is another of the most frequent surgical activities, with 166 interventions. In smaller numbers is general surgery with 29 surgeries and the remaining 49 correspond to other specialties.
