It is agreed to lift the suspension of the incentive for companies that considerably reduce accident rates
On July 31, a meeting was held between the Government, the business organizations CEOE and CEPYME and the union organizations CCOO and UGT in which they reached: "Social agreement for the improvement of the compatibility of the retirement pension with work, the regulation of a new procedure for access to the pension for activities with high danger and for the greater use of the resources of the Mutual Funds in order to recover the health of working people".
Point 8 of the aforementioned agreement deals with the BONUS or system of reduction of contributions for professional contingencies to companies that have considerably reduced workplace accidents.
The most notable thing is that it is agreed to lift the suspension established since 2019 of the incentive for companies that considerably reduce the accident rate and a new system is agreed based on the evolution of the accident rate that requires investments in prevention for its recognition.
- An objective mechanism is articulated through which each company is given a classification of accident rates for work accidents and occupational diseases, and which will be decisive, along with the necessary investment in prevention, of the right to receive the incentive and its amount.
- To recognize the incentive, the accident rate data of each company will be compared with the limits established for its economic activity. These limits are established with respect to the general accident rate (IT benefits for professional contingencies) and the extreme accident rate (deaths and recognitions of Permanent Disability), established according to your economic activity to verify whether or not they are exceeded.
- If these limits are not exceeded, the company will improve one value in the classification (A, B, C and D) or will remain in the maximum classification A.
- You will be entitled to the incentive (4%) when you improve your qualification and to the improved incentive (8%) if you maintain the maximum qualification. If the limits are exceeded, a value will be reduced in its classification or it will remain in the minimum classification D, which will determine the impossibility of accessing the incentive as long as this classification is maintained.
