On June 10, World Road Safety Day is celebrated to show that our mobility must be safe, sustainable and healthy. In the workplace, workers suffer traffic accidents with different personal and material consequences.

As far as 2022 is concerned, data from the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy reflects that 11% of work accidents with sick leave are related to traffic.  Of the total fatal accidents, 47 people have died due to traffic, which represents 27% of the total fatal accidents. It should be noted that accidents in itinere, both when going to or returning from work, account for 68% of traffic accidents. For this reason, it is important to integrate road culture in companies, analyze the mobility of our employees on a continuous basis, evaluate the risk and propose measures so that there are no injuries due to traffic.

A mobility that has changed in recent times. Workers have the possibility of teleworking, home delivery companies have increased with electronic consumption, new forms of individual mobility such as electric scooters and bicycles are emerging in cities, young people are more familiar with the use of shared vehicles, drivers of traditional four-wheeled vehicles are increasingly older, and as for the vehicle from 2022 onwards, all newly approved cars must incorporate eight driver assistance systems (ADAS) as standard.
