Study of the effectiveness of labor protection clothing against nanoparticles

The INSST has recently published a work titled: "Study on the effectiveness of gloves and protective clothing against nanoparticles 2023".

The growing use of technology based on nanomaterials (NM) has led to the emergence of new risks in the workplace against which it is necessary to apply appropriate protective measures to safeguard the safety and health of workers, and within these measures is the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

This technical document includes research carried out in the field of gloves and protective clothing with the aim of evaluating the performance of these PPE with respect to NM and presents the adaptation of a standardized test method to the evaluation of this equipment against nanomaterials and the results of the experimentation carried out with its application.
