The bullfighter Emilio de Justo tells us about his recovery after being caught on Palm Sunday

On April 10, the bullfighter Emilio de Justo was admitted to the Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana Hospital to be treated for cervical injuries caused by the mishap suffered that afternoon.

This Tuesday the 17th he went to the hospital again for a check-up and he told us how he feels and how his stay was during his hospital stay.

First of all, how are you feeling now that almost a month has passed since the fuck?

Well, the truth is that much better, I have progressed very well this month, little by little I have been making progress in my recovery and the pain has subsided a lot. Thank God I am walking and doing things that I couldn't at the beginning and I feel a very favorable evolution.

The injury required immobilization with a special corset. How is the recovery? adaptation?

At first it has been very difficult for me to adapt to the corset because it is something that logically I had never worn and you feel overwhelmed, but as the days go by both the mind and the body adapt and today I am wearing it within the discomfort and how difficult and hard it is have it, but I'm handling it quite well.

In your first statements you said that you did not want to be left with this bad taste in your mouth, do you hope to return soon bullfighting?

Well yes man, it is very angry that this happens to you in the best moment of your life as a bullfighter, but you have to assimilate it, just as triumphs are enjoyed and lived with a lot of emotion, mishaps are part of this profession and you have to assimilate and accept it.I am very excited to get well, day by day it is increasingly clear to me that I will soon do so, with great enthusiasm to go back to bullfighting, to dress up as a bullfighter again and whenever that may be, but I have no doubt that I will achieve it soon.

How did you feel in the first moments when you arrived at the hospital?

The first moments before arriving at the clinic were the hardest for me, because they were doing the tests on me and I really had that unknown that I didn't really know what extent the injury could have and it was hard, but well, all the treatment from the staff was wonderful and the truth is that thank you to God the injury within its severity because, God willing, it will not have consequences or consequences for leading a normal life and for developing my profession, which is bullfighting, and therefore I am increasingly excited.

To finish, how was your stay at the Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana Hospital and the attention of our professionals?

About my stay at the clinic I cannot have any type of complaint, on the contrary, I am very grateful to both Dr. Hevia, the nurses, and everyone who has cared for me for treating me so well, and for caring so much about my daily life in my hardest hours of the mishap, the truth is that I only have words of gratitude for the attention and for having cared so much, and for having helped me through those difficult days for me.
