Last June, the European Commission officially published its New strategic framework on safety and health at work for the period 2021-2027, with the aim of maintaining a safe and healthy workplace in a constantly evolving world of work and which is aligned with the Vision Zero philosophy that seeks a new way to promote preventive culture in organizations.

The Vision Zero strategy is based on transformation through the integration of the three dimensions of safety, health and well-being at all levels with the conviction that the well-being of collaborators and workers leads to the reduction of harm and precisely the new EU strategic framework also focuses on three key objectives for the coming years:

  • Anticipate and manage change in the new world of work.
  • Improve the prevention of work-related illnesses and accidents, a strategic framework that will promote a Vision Zero approach with the aim of eliminating work-related deaths in the EU.
  • Increase preparedness for possible future health threats.
