The FM Habana Hospital receives Dr. Cobiella from the UCH of London for a master class

This master class was attended by an expert and renowned professional in shoulder surgery in sports practice, Dr. Carlos Cobiella, consultant orthopedic surgeon at University College Hospital (UCH) in London and head of the Upper Limb section of the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health at University College London (UCL).

The Dr. Cobiella, has shared his experience in this field, taking a tour of his typology, the surgical techniques to be used in each case and has also commented on practical examples of how he applies each technique according to the type of injury.

At the end of his speech, Dr. Cobiella answered the questions of the attendees and subsequently visited the hospital facilities accompanied by Dr. Álvaro Minuesa, head of the Traumatology and Orthopedics Service of the HFMH. He has also been present in a surgery performed by Dr. Minuesa and the members of the Shoulder Unit, in order to learn about the functionalities of the ___surgical block of the hospital, which is made up of three operating rooms with a digital and intelligent integration system, the first to be installed in Spain with these features.

The operating rooms of the FM Habana Hospital have all the necessary technology so that professionals can instantly access information from the patient's medical history, view radiological tests, personalize the specialized traumatology and orthopedics tables, all for the best comfort for surgeons and greater patient safety.

Thanks to the cameras in the operating room itself and the software implemented in the hospital, the images of the surgery can be retransmitted to the screens within the operating room itself, as another source of information for the surgeons, as well as externally in streaming for clinical sessions.
