Esteban Mate, Deputy General Director of Management of the Mutua, tells in the interview recently published in Alimarket, the successes of the Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana Hospital and how different projects have been developed in the interest of maximum excellence for our patients.

In less than two years, the hospital already performs 40% of our entity's surgeries and our ambition is to reach 50% in 2022, around 2,500 surgeries per year.

The HFMH is designed as a hospital integrated into the network, which cares for mutual patients referred from the more than 100 Mutual centers distributed throughout the territory, which is why one of the current projects focuses on facilitating this communication through the video consultation system implemented between the hospital's Traumatology team and our more than 300 doctors from the network.

During the design of the hospital, special emphasis was placed on the incorporation of a surgical block with the highest digital features, which has facilitated the actions carried out to share knowledge with the network of centers: the retransmission of surgeries in real time and open clinical sessions.

Another of the projects that E. Mate details is the incorporation of the new Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Unit, with a very prestigious team that works in close coordination with the Traumatology team to obtain the best results for the patient.

We have been pioneers in the use of the Nanoscope, a disposable arthroscopy system, which provides high-quality images and allows surgery procedures to be performed in consultation and with minimal aggression, and we keep alive the concern for new techniques and elements that can help us improve our care.
