The ISSA and its Vision Zero program awarded at the Escolático Zaldívar Awards
On April 28, we just celebrated the Awards Gala for the IX edition of the Escolático Zaldívar 2804 Awards, which Fraternidad-Muprespa given each year in order to reward and encourage good preventive practices in the work environment carried out by their mutual companies.
In addition to recognizing our associates who are highly committed to the prevention of occupational risks, we award two extraordinary jury awards, especially valuing their professional career and giving recognition to organizations or entities that stand out in a special way for their commitment, dissemination and promotion of prevention.
This year our Mutua awarded this extraordinary award to the entity or body committed to ORP to the International Social Security Association (ISSA) which was created in 1927 under the auspices of the International Labor Organization and is today a leading global organization that brings together social security institutions, ministries and government entities and that develops activities in these areas with more than 320 institutions and members from more than 150 countries that collaborate with it.
It especially highlights its preponderant role in the field of prevention with its program Vision Zero which is constituted as a new transformative approach in the world of occupational safety.Vision Zero is the ISSA's global campaign in favor of zero accidents, illnesses and injuries at work, in which Fraternidad-Muprespa actively participates, seeking to promote preventive culture in organizations.
During the virtual awards ceremony, Marcelo Abi-Ramia Caetano, director general of the ISSA, participated, thanking the award given by our entity and explaining the main lines of the Vision Zero program from its origin as a simple guide to the present day, which is now an international reference in this matter.
