Virtual days within the Healthy Jobs campaign: let's relax the burdens

European Safety and Health at Work Week is being held between 19 and 23 October 2020 with the aim of raising awareness of the problem of musculoskeletal disorders through from EU-OSHA's 2020-22 campaign called Healthy jobs: let's relax the burdens focused on the prevention of work-related MSDs.

Among the actions carried out during the week, the Spanish Network for Safety and Health at Work promotes a series of technical conferencesin format virtual with the aim of ______expand knowledge and perspective on the persistent problem of musculoskeletal disorders and urges the adoption of an integrated approach to the management of the risks involved and to take into account the impact that other factors, such as stress or aging, may have on the musculoskeletal health of workers.

On October 21, from 8:50 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., will be held the Technical Conference on Healthy Work: Let's relax the loads through participatory ergonomics, organized byThe Canarian Institute of Occupational Safety (ICASEL) and the Provincial Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Metal Enterprises and New Technologies of Las Palmas (FEMEPA) and with the collaboration of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia (IBV), the Mieses Global Association, Tusgsal and the Ergonomics Center.

On October 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., the___Technical Conference will be held for the presentation of the European Campaign "Healthy Workplaces: Let's Relax loads". The INSST with the collaboration of the Spanish OSH Network organizes this event in which the incidence of MSDs in Spanish workers and the framework of action that public administrations have defined to do so will be known. facing this problem.In the second part of the day, preventive recommendations and solutions implemented in companies will be addressed, and finally, the perspective of the interlocutors on the risk management of MSDs of occupational origin will be discussed.

On October 23, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., the Conference on Challenges, Experiences and Practical Tools: taking care of our musculoskeletal system will take place, organized by the Asturian Institute for the Prevention of Occupational Risks in which they will be shared experiences around the prevention and treatment of MSDs.

At Fraternidad-Muprespa as members of the Spanish Network for Safety and Health at Work, we are especially involved in transmitting the messages contained in all the European campaigns launched by the European Agency (EU-OSHA), even more so this year in which The campaign focuses on overexertion and musculoskeletal disorders.

That is why we direct actions aimed at our mutual members during this week and six webinar sessions will be held nationwide for our course Stop overexertion in the workplace with the objective of understanding overexertion as one of the main agents causing injuries in the workplace and know the preventive measures that will allow us to eliminate this risk.
