It is clear that innovation is beginning to form part of the DNA of prevention, the chain ofSpring Hotels has just incorporated into several of its hotels located in Tenerife the latest model of motorized cart that has been manufactured by the Spanish company Trend Robotics.

This cart, which can load 150 kg and whose multi-directional wheels allow for more fluid movement across different surfaces due to the installed motor, is directed by a voice and touch device, so that cleaning staff have to make less effort in the forced movements they make with the carts on a daily basis. The car also serves as an intercom, so notifications between the maids and reception or technical services are immediate. It also has a tool to recommend good postural habits.

As is known, last September the modification of Royal Decree 1299/2006 was approved, which approves the Table of Occupational Diseases, to include as an occupational disease a series of pathologies common in housekeepers. such as:

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Chronic tendon pathology of the rotator cuff
  • Epicondylitis and epitrochleitis
  • De Quervain's tendinitis, trigger finger and tenositivitis of the extensor hallucis longus

Fraternidad-Muprespa in its desire to achieve healthy, safe and healthy work environments, it has a specific campaign for hospitality companies that have this type of workers on their staff in order to facilitate their access to our workshops, resources and tools and thus try to avoid the development of the occupational diseases mentioned above.
