IX Prevention Week: Fraternidad-Muprespa participates in the Leadership and Management Seminars
Fraternidad-Muprespa participated in the "Leadership Seminars go and Management: the Experience of Women Managers" organized by the Women's Management Development Chair of the University of Zaragoza and the Government of Aragon with the collaboration of Women Directors of Aragon.
Natalia Fdez. Laviada,Deputy Director General of Prevention, Quality and Communication of the Mutua participated with the presentation "Kryptonites of healthy leadership", on the role of leadership in promoting workplace health and well-being.
It is a day framed in the IX Prevention Week of Fraternidad-Muprespa which the Mutual Fund celebrates on the occasion of the commemoration on April 28 of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work and which this year has as its motto“Safe Work, your first objective”
Fdez. Laviada began by describing theleadership as one of the so-called 'soft skills' that is fundamental for any organization. “Being an effective leader is not only a skill that can be learned, but also a responsibility that must be assumed to guide the members of the organization towards the achievement of common goals,” he said, going on to explain that leadership involves “much more than giving orders and expecting them to be followed, since one is a leader with and without a position.”
As he explained, an effective leader must be able to inspire and motivate his team towards hard work and towards a shared vision. You must also be able to communicate clearly and listen to your team to understand their needs and challenges, as well as make important decisions in difficult situations.
“If we also add that we live in an increasingly complex and competitive world, leadership has become more necessary to face and overcome the challenges that arise in today's changing business environment,” he concluded.
He then defined the keys to effective and healthy leadership, its weak points ('kryptonites') that distance it from that purpose, and the antidotes to combat them.
Narcissistic leaders act without empathy and are selfish, influenced by the phenomenon of “'egoism'. Their antidote is generosity.
The stressed leader has happiness as an antidote, understood as the necessary balance in life.
The sad leader has its origins in the fact that we live in a society with little tolerance for frustration. The antidote to overcome it is adaptation.
The lying leader is the one who acts without consistency. The antidote is the credible leader and communicator who makes sincerity his flag.
Finally, the lone leader, who prefers to act on his own, and does not practice empathy. The antidote is socialization and learning to be a group leader.
