For you first, and for all your colleagues

Around April 28, World Day for Safety and Health at Work, at Fratenidad-Muprespa we celebrate our "V Prevention Week" in which the development of preventive actions takes center stage to generate a preventive culture in our associated companies, mutual societies, collaborators, employees and self-employed workers, with measures aimed at raising awareness, sensitization and dissemination of the prevention of occupational risks.

This year we will be a click away from all of you, so we hope you will join us.

This year, taking into account the context of the health crisis that we are experiencing worldwide due to COVID19, the ILO will focus this day on addressing the outbreak of infectious diseases at work, paying special attention to the current coronavirus pandemic. In this sense,

From one day to the next, the mental scheme of our way of life has collapsed. Added to the uncertainty and feeling of unreality that the COVID-19 epidemic has engulfed us is the overwhelming amount of information that is being generated around it and that we have to select, assimilate and adapt to our environment.

Therefore, we want you to know about our #StayAtHomeFM Challenge with which we want to help you make these days of confinement more bearable and so that you can continue taking care of your health and well-being at home through three challenges. Get to know them!

Within the celebration of our "V F-M Prevention Week", among all the material that is developed, we want to highlight one of which we are especially proud: the corporate signage, which is made thanks to the joint effort of the Communication Department in close collaboration with the Department of Prevention and Development of Culture of Health.

On this occasion we want to remember the work carried out in the previous edition of Prevention Week and that last year was developed with actions aimed at our mutual members that ranged from open days in our centers, interviews with the best preventive practices of companies, races and outdoor routes to promote healthy habits, preventive breakfasts to discuss topics of interest to our associates or technical talks to bring prevention to school.

As one of the objectives of our "V Prevention Week" is to promote and disseminate occupational risk prevention, Fraternidad-Muprespa recognizes the good preventive practices carried out by associated companies through the Escolástico Zaldívar awards.

This year 2020 our awards have been temporarily suspended due to the health crisis derived from the Coronavirus and logically we hope to resume them at the end of the state of alarm when health conditions allow it. That is why we want to take this opportunity to remind you of the 7 previous editions that we have celebrated.

PREVENTION OF OCCUPATIONAL RISKS

We bring to this "V F-M Prevention Week" the recommendations that our colleagues have designed to be able to carry out teleworking in safe and health conditions, since this type of work has been established as a priority, in cases where it is possible.

A few weeks ago, we generated a complete section on our website

At this time it is a necessity for the worker to do his or her work at home. In addition, difficulties are added that can affect its optimal use, such as the current situation of children not attending school, which unbalances the work-family balance. This guide attempts to provide some useful guidelines to prevent the possible risks derived from teleworking at home.

As we have been carrying out since April 22, within the digital actions framed within the celebration of the "V F-M Prevention Week", the news, guides, advice, recommendations on teleworking that we are collecting from the most important institutions within the prevention of occupational risks and that you can find in our Previene section dedicated to teleworking in times of COVID-19.

On this occasion we are talking about ergonomics, that specialty of occupational risk prevention that for a long time has been considered "minor" but that finally occupies its rightful place within risk mitigation. The National Institute of Safety and Health at Work (INSST) has a complete section dedicated to this specialty, within it there is a section of frequently asked technical questions that, due to its clarity and simplicity, we believe is very useful in these days of teleworking at home.

Within the digital activities that we are including in the celebration of the "V F-M Prevention Week" we are focusing on the issue of advising our associated companies on how to articulate and improve teleworking so that workers do it in a safe and healthy way. In this case we focus on a publication from the European organization EU-OSHA in which it describes practical tips for teleworking in a safe, healthy and as effective way as possible.

Our "V F-M Prevention Week" is coming to an end and among the digital actions that we have published these days, we believe that the topic that concerns us in this news will have permanence over time, we talk about LEADERSHIP...in capital letters.

From INFOVA they share this video with us that we find inspiring.

WELFARE

WALKING TOWARDS WELL-BEING is the healthy itinerary of Fraternidad-Muprespa focused on promoting healthy habits among the workers of our associated companies, providing the necessary resources and tools to achieve it in an agile, enjoyable and simple way.

For all of the above, we suggest you join our healthy itinerary that will provide you with all the tools and resources to achieve a healthier lifestyle.

During this exciting journey you will access healthy content such as workshops, videos, guides, infographics and downloadables that you will receive in your email. Everything 100% online to bring you closer to well-being in a simple and enjoyable way.

When we talk about toxic emotions we are referring to those that endanger our emotional balance, those that alter our well-being and that of those around us. We must know that an emotion is not positive or negative in itself or because of the feelings it generates in us, but rather because it takes over us. If a feeling invades us and prevents us from progressing, we are facing a toxic emotion.

Coinciding with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, at Fraternidad-Muprespa we celebrate our "V Prevention Week" from April 22 to 30 with the aim of generating a preventive culture in our mutual members.

On this occasion we present the video 4 Exercises to do in a chair that can help you with some recommendations that help ensure that our back does not suffer taking into account the circumstances of confinement that we are experiencing and the fact of having to sit for many hours.

In our Prevention Week, we invite you on an exciting journey. The destination will not be a very distant place but quite the opposite, it will be a journey to our inner world, without a doubt, a most surprising place.

With our Fraternidad-Muprespa Mindfulness workshop we will be able to focus on the 'here and now' through full attention. We will be more aware of what we feel, think and how we react.

The reality that we have had to live forces us to be permanently prepared for change. We are facing a health emergency that represents a huge novelty in our society and we must have tools to be able to manage it properly on a psychological level.

That is why we have to deal with change management, which we could define as the making of interrelated decisions that allow us to go from a situation that we do not want or that is not the most optimal to another that is more appropriate and that better adapts to the stated objectives.

On this occasion we want to focus on giving you some recommendations that can help you plan your agenda.

A well-done task probably already begins with its planning and how we organize ourselves to tackle the work is the first step to achieving the desired results. Getting organized is not just arranging tasks on a schedule but doing it in a way that is consistent with our interests and that are not just the results. The execution of a task depends on the time we have but also on its urgency, its location, who we have to do it with, our energy or the attention we can give it.

Our objective is to help our associated companies in the development of other aspects that allow them to promote a culture of health among their workers with content on physical and psychological well-being, emotional management and organization of work time.

Precisely to delve deeper into the aspect of emotional management we want to take advantage of this space to present you our Emotional Fitness workshop whose main objective is to give you tools to take ownership of your decisions and thoughts by learning to manage them in a healthy way.

The health crisis caused by COVID19 has taken us to a new reality never before known for several generations, experiencing sensations that we had never experienced and constantly testing our mind and psychological well-being.

The team of psychologists at ITAE EMPRESAS puts at our disposal a series of psycho-pedagogical resources that will help us know the keys to overcoming the challenges we have to face during these coronavirus crises.

Our objective is to help our companies with this news in the development of different aspects to promote a culture of health within the company with content on psychological well-being, emotional management and time organization.

Knowing what stress is and what its symptoms are is essential to being able to cope with it. For this reason, we put at your disposal our Workshop on stress management techniques where you will find the necessary keys through the following videos.

Documentation

Every day of the year Fraternidad-Muprespa works to promote a solid preventive culture in our society, but there is one day that is special... World Day for Safety and Health at Work!

In this section you can download the posters that Fraternidad-Muprespa has created in successive years to commemorate this day.

In these days when teleworking has become a reality due to the Coronavirus health crisis, we want to advise you so that you can enjoy a pleasant and safe workplace. Our experts have developed the following sheets that contain simple tips that you can follow without difficulty to achieve teleworking without risks and without losing your health. Some of these tips are aimed at staying mentally strong, which we consider essential to be able to cope with this abnormal situation.

Prevention Week Videos

Fraternidad-Muprespa and within our "V Prevention Week", we have made short videos where our staff describes the recommendations that we must follow within this pandemic.

Hand hygiene is a simple but important and effective act for preventing the transmission of all types of infections. In this context of the Coronavirus outbreak that we are experiencing, one of the basic and permanent recommendations made by health professionals is continuous hand washing.

Since the main theme of our V Prevention Week, aligned with that of the International Labor Organization (ILO), focuses on addressing infectious diseases at work, especially the current COVID-19 pandemic, we provide you with some videos where you can see some advice on masks: types, considerations to take into account and recommendations for use.

Although the Government's proposal is that companies extend teleworking as long as possible, some jobs require the worker's physical presence at the workplace. In these cases, it is necessary to adopt organizational measures within companies aimed at preventing the same workspace from being shared by an excessive number of workers, maintaining social distancing at all times.

This represents a challenge for companies that had never before had to consider this situation until the arrival of the COVID19 pandemic. In our V Prevention Week we want to help companies and workers face this challenge, therefore, in the following videos you will find the organizational measures that must be carried out for a safe return to work, minimizing the risk of contagion among workers.

After several weeks of rigorous confinement, we are about to begin the de-escalation of the isolation caused by COVID-19. We are all eager to get out and resume our social lives. But the risk is still present, the virus remains active in our society and our homes remain the safest places.

On this occasion, the person in charge of advising us on how to minimize the risks in the much desired exit from confinement is Iván Fernández Suárez, Doctor in Occupational Risk Prevention.

In these difficult times, we need to dedicate a few minutes to our emotional health, since the situation we are experiencing with mobility restrictions, the use of masks and gloves, safety distance... are creating a strange environment, of danger of contagion, where our emotional response becomes uncontrolled. By adopting some simple guidelines it will be easier to reduce the tension we experience and feel better.

On this occasion, Mar Morales González, Director of the Department of Prevention and Development of Health Culture, Psychologist by training and Senior Prevention Technician by vocation (among other titles) and with extensive experience in preventive issues, shares with us a little of her wisdom...Thank you Mar!

We are aware of the long road ahead of us, not only in solving this pandemic but in learning from the mistakes made as promulgated by Vision Zero, in a transparent way we must make a self-assessment of how we have done it and what the next steps are. We are prevention technicians, always immersed in that Deming circle of continuous improvement. We do not stop, if we stop it is a bad sign, we will win and we will also convince.

On this occasion it is our colleague Alejandro Quintana Rivero, Senior Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention, with extensive experience in these preventive struggles who has been kind enough to share with us some brief reflections.

On this occasion, our colleague Margarita Martínez Gómez, Senior Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention in Alicante, shares with us her reflections on the role that preventionists will have, once the confinement passes and normality returns, emphasizing that it is our moment and we must take advantage of it.
