Agreement approving the Digital Spain 2026 report
One more year the Agenda España Digital is updated, initiative launched in July 2020 to promote the country's digital transformation process. This update takes stock of the path taken and adapts to the 2026 horizon, improving its alignment with the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) and promoting high-impact strategic projects through public-private collaboration and co-governance with the autonomous communities.
To guide the digital transformation process, 8 specific digital plans have been launched to be developed in these years: the Plan for connectivity and digital infrastructures of society, the economy and the territories; the Strategy to promote 5G technology; the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy; the National Digital Skills Plan; the SME digitalization plan; the Digitalization Plan for public administrations; Spain Audiovisual hub of Europe; and the National Cybersecurity Plan.
During 2021 and the first half of 2022, a fundamental boost has been given to PRTR investments in the digital field in connectivity, R&D, digitalization of the administration and SMEs, and an important transfer has been carried out to the autonomous communities and city councils for the digitalization of the public sector and the promotion of digital skills to citizens.
Throughout 2022, the speed in the deployment of digital Spain will increase with the launch of the main investments in digitalization of the economic fabric and digital skills.

A day whose objective is to give visibility to some of the digitalization projects that have received funds and that are already contributing to making this transformation of our economic model a reality. The evolution of the Digital Spain Agenda will also be presented to align it with the scope and time horizon of the Recovery Plan.
