First Observatorio de Bienestar Digital-Laboral

An initiative to understand and promote a healthy use of technology at work

The Observatorio de Bienestar Digital-Laboral is a joint initiative of Fraternidad-Muprespa and the Fundación Personas y Empresas - AUREN, created with the purpose of analyzing, reflecting and raising awareness about the impact that digitalization can have on the health, well-being and professional experience of the working people.

In an increasingly technological work environment, characterized by new work rhythms, digital tools and forms of interaction, this Observatory seeks to offer a rigorous and transversal look at emerging challenges: digital time management, connection habits, the relationship between productivity and rest, and the construction of more sustainable organizational cultures

Its purpose is twofold. On the one hand, deeply understand what implications new digital habits have on the physical, mental and emotional well-being of working people. On the other hand, guide organizations in the adoption of practices and policies that promote a healthier, more efficient and sustainable relationship with technology.

To achieve this, the Observatory integrates sources of quantitative information, with a survey on digital habits and health with more than 500 responses, and qualitative information through the formation of two heterogeneous focus groups made up of various professionals. This combination provides a global vision, capturing both the objective dimension and the subjective experience of those who live daily with technology in their workplace. The result is a robust analysis framework, useful for interpreting the present and anticipating future trends .

Under this perspective, a broad reflection is promoted on key aspects such as hyperconnectivity, digital disconnection, multitasking, lack of concentration, the role of leadership, the coexistence between face-to-face and hybrid work, and the need for models that preserve health without give up technological advances.

This is not about demonizing technology because it offers us enormous opportunities, comforts and advantages, but it also requires new responses in terms of digital well-being. In this sense, the Observatory aspires to become a space of reference and support for workers, companies and institutions, offering guidelines and lines of action that allow progress towards more responsible and sustainable models.

Its vocation is to promote organizational evolution based on evidence, continuous learning and commitment to the comprehensive well-being of people.
