Award for the best project in Facility Management & Services to Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana
Fraternidad-Muprespa has obtained the National Award for the Best Project in Facility Management & Services, which has been considered to be “a project integrated into a construction project, demonstrating that this synergy can be achieved from the beginning of the design and construction phase”, according to the assessment of the jury that awarded the awards, granted by the magazine Facility Management & Services.
Pedro Serrera, deputy general director of Information Systems and Services, highlighted that “the awarding of the award has brought great joy to the entire team that has worked on the management model, from the construction of the Hospital, to the preparation of service contracts and their implementation”.
As Pedro Serrera adds, "the framework of the Public Sector Contracts Law has required us, due to the requirements of publicity and transparency of procedures, an additional effort in the coordination of all contracting, to guarantee the simultaneous implementation of all services. We have managed the maintenance of facilities, cleaning, waste management, gardening, security, assistants, the kitchen for patients, the cafeteria and catering, the locker room for health personnel, the linen, the maintenance of electromedical equipment, microbiological control, parking management and a whole series of technical support services, with the aim of contributing to the Hospital's vision: to be the trauma reference center for the mutual insurance sector based on excellence, efficiency and integration.”
This is an award that companies such as Mahou San Miguel, Airbus, BBVA, Ilunion Faciliy Services, Grupo Eulen or Vodafone España have won in other editions. The awards ceremony will be on June 28, 2022, within the framework of the National Facility Management & Services Meeting, which will become an extraordinary edition of tribute to the sector.
Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana, a patient-oriented center
The doors of the Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana opened to the public in April 2019 and a few days later it received the LEED Certificate Healthcare Platino, which accredits, among other things, the sustainability of the center, its energy efficiency and the comfort it offers to patients and professionals.
The strategic plan of Hospital
Patient orientation has been achieved thanks, among other things, to the integration of service management in the construction project, in all its phases: infrastructure design, service design, construction itself, and bidding and awarding of all service contracts.
In the spring of 2020, and to alleviate the pressure on care in the public hospitals of the Community of Madrid, it also treated Covid patients who required hospital admission, something that Pedro Serrera also referred to.“When three years have passed since its launch, including a period during which it provided its services as a Covid hospital, the maturity of the service management model allows us to face the future with enthusiasm and energy, thinking about offering improved health care to our 118,000 associated companies and to the patients who visit the Hospital.”
