Fraternidad-Muprespa delivers the Zero Accident Distinction to 28 companies in Bilbao for their zero accident rate

The Bilbao headquarters of the Provincial management of Íscar, General Director of OSALAN, Basque Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.

The badges are intended to be placed in a visible place in the company to demonstrate its proactivity in favor of safety, health and occupational well-being. The rest of the companies deserving the distinction, a hundred, will receive it soon.

Recognised entities can share their good practices in the campaign that the Mutual Fund develops on its social networks with the hashtag #CeroAccidentesFM.

Jaione Escobal, provincial director of Fraternidad-Muprespa in Bizkaia, welcomed the company representatives to the event, thanking them for their commitment to eradicating and containing workplace accidents. 

Lourdes Íscar intervened next and highlighted that “realities such as this act of recognition reflect the growing conviction that the achievement of occupational health and safety and, ultimately, the right of all people to carry out their work in a healthy environment that contributes to their well-being, are objectives that every society must pursue.” “I cannot stop insisting,” he added, “that occupational risk prevention must be seen as a value of companies within the framework of the consolidation of a sustainable, modern and competitive business fabric,” he concluded.

Dolores Rico, Occupational Safety, Health and Wellbeing trainer and consultant, spoke about new prevention management models that, like Vision Zero, put the focus on people, and methods like 'LegoSeriousPlay' to motivate change.

After the delivery of the badges to the companies, José Ignacio Díaz Lucas, Northern Territorial Director of the Mutua, closed the event by providing data on accidents in the last year, which contributed to further highlighting the achievement of the companies present at the event, consultancies and SMEs, to whom he informed that they should feel proud of their good work.
