Fraternidad-Muprespa delivers the “Zero Accident Distinction” to 32 mutual companies in Almansa
The Fraternidad-Muprespa delegation in Almansa celebrated this Tuesday, September 26, the ceremony to present the Zero Accident Badges, which the Mutual Fund grants to companies that have not declared work-related accidents or occupational diseases in the last fifteen, ten or five years.
The badges are intended to be placed in a visible place in the company to demonstrate its proactivity in favor of safety, health and occupational well-being. The rest of the companies deserving the distinction, a dozen, will receive it soon.
The opening of the event, which took place at the town's House of Culture, was led by Ángel López, provincial director of the Mutua in Albacete. López welcomed the representatives of the distinguished companies and praised their good practices and their work to reduce the accident rate of their staff.
He gave the floor to Nicolás Merino, delegate of Economy, Business and Employment of the Community Board of Castilla-La Mancha in Albacete, who stated that in the province 16.5 people have a work accident a day "so it is appreciated to attend an event of these characteristics where we celebrate that a significant number of companies have registered zero accidents in five, ten or fifteen years."
He also conveyed the importance of integrating prevention into the company's management systems and especially congratulated companies belonging to economic sectors with frequently high accident rates, such as textiles and footwear, meat, transportation, hospitality or healthcare. Finally, he thanked Fraternidad-Muprespa for his prevention advisory work and reiterated his support for recognition initiatives like this one.
After the presentation of the badges, Amparo Cuenca, director of the Almansa delegation, congratulated the representatives of the recognized companies, to whom she conveyed her wish that they continue to be “an example to follow.”
Lastly, the mayor, Pilar Callado, intervened, showing her institutional support for this initiative and for Fraternidad-Muprespa. Callado attended the event accompanied by Matilde Cuenca, Councilor for Personnel and Infrastructure, and Pablo Sánchez, Councilor for Urban Planning, Housing and Employment.
