Fraternidad-Muprespa, a mutual collaborator with Social Security, collects on its web portal the solidarity experiences of various groups that highlight the importance of altruistic help in these difficult times. This is the case of the “Somos Martos” project, promoted by Vocational Training teachers from the local Fernando III Institute and a group of engineers and entrepreneurs, who have the support of the Martos City Council as well as various companies based in the municipality.

Given the wide demand for Personal Protective Equipment, they have set to work to manufacture plastic protection screens. Now your challenge is to industrialize the production of these products that are so necessary for healthcare.

They do this thanks to a network of volunteers who go to companies in the automotive sector to create a mold with which to mass-produce the screens. And all, in record time, since the companies, led by the Martian plant of Valeo, a Mutualist company of Fraternidad-Muprespa, accepted the challenge, which has resulted in this mold being now a reality. They estimate that they will be able to manufacture 40,000 units per week, intended to supply numerous health centers throughout the national territory.

At the moment, Fraternidad-Muprespa has received a total of 400 for its professionals, which have been distributed in 29 centers throughout Spain. From here we convey our most sincere and deep gratitude for this.

Together with Valeo, which assumes the tasks of production and design and provides part of the raw material, the company Retuc, collaborates with the plastic material, Plásticas Alcaudete supplies the transparent screens, Andaltec, Plastucc and Valeo itself design and manufacture, Kitonline provides the fastening rubber and Acodis Initiatives carries out production and packaging of the product. Finally, it is Valeo's own logistics network that makes the shipments.

In addition to health centers, these protective screens, which demonstrate the solidarity and altruistic collaboration of this group of Martos, will be allocated to hospital centers throughout the country, free of charge, first of all to those who request them through a form.

Subsequently, it is planned to supply other centers that need it, such as centers for the elderly and disabled, health centers and clinics, social services, law enforcement, businesses, work centers, town halls and home care personnel, among others. The project coordinator is Manuel Caballero, vocational training teacher and Director of the Fernando III Institute.
