Fraternidad-Muprespa brings prevention closer to the Schools of Gijón
Within the framework of the II Prevention Week organized by Fraternidad-Muprespa, Mutual Collaborator with Social Security, the Gijón delegation has brought preventive culture closer to schools, achieving the involvement of teachers and students.
Various activities have been carried out in several schools in the city to raise awareness of preventive culture: contests, activities, delivery of posters and brochures, with the aim of bringing preventive concepts and attitudes closer to the little ones.
Between April 24 and 28 in the San Miguel de Gijón School, a drawing contest has been held, in which 300 primary school students, aged between 6 and 12, have participated, and the winners have been students from 1st, 2nd and 4th grade, to whom the school director Miguel Ángel Campos Galan has presented them with an Fraternidad-Muprespa prevention medal, in recognition of their good work. This center has expressed its gratitude to the Mutua for the innovative initiative, and will implement the basic prevention concepts within its annual program.
In it Heart of Mary School and on the same dates, several pedagogical actions such as the error game and the drawing contest were carried out among the 100 4th grade students, as well as the distribution of brochures among students and teachers in order to raise awareness and convey the relevance of risk prevention. The pedagogical director of early childhood and primary school Alberto Rodríguez Redondo, has presented the medals to the winners and has conveyed his gratitude to Fraternidad-Muprespa for the initiative.
The preventive culture has also been brought closer to San José Board of Trustees School, among the 300 students from 1st to 6th grade of primary school with a drawing contest in which 3 students corresponding to each of the 3 cycles of primary school have won.Sister Franselina Rodríguez director of the center, has conveyed the importance of these initiatives and wanted to share it with the students' families by presenting the badges to the winners, in an act of coexistence that brought together teachers, parents and students.
To end this week full of activities, April 28th World Day for Safety and Health at Work was held at the Holy Guardian Angel School, among the 200 secondary school students, a first aid talk, supported by audiovisual materials, posters and brochures provided by Fraternidad-Muprespa, to try to raise students' awareness of the importance of the measures that must be taken in emergency situations. The director of the Center Ana Caso, has expressed its commitment to continue working for prevention.
