Carlos Aranda has shown that Fraternidad-Muprespa has “a special sensitivity to the environment, with years of work on this issue.”
Fraternidad-Muprespa, responding to the strategic and social commitment of the organization and, as an instrument of social responsibility and sustainability, has decided to evaluate the risks associated with climate change and also verify its Carbon Footprint, to know the environmental impact that its activity causes on the environment.
The Carbon Footprint measures the amount of total greenhouse gas emissions released into the atmosphere as a result of an activity. It is measured voluntarily, under specific criteria, in order to be aware, transparent and take measures to reduce it.
The verification encompasses the activities provided by the Mutual Fund, establishing three scopes:
• Scope 1: Direct greenhouse gas emissions.
• Scope 2: Indirect greenhouse gas emissions from energy.
• Scope 3: Other indirect greenhouse gas emissions (paper consumption).
Fraternidad-Muprespa continues to focus on quality, environmental sustainability and social responsibility, as reflected in this new achievement and will continue working along these lines.
