Fraternidad-Muprespa and FAMMA will work together to serve workers with disabilities
Workers protected by La Mutua and the Federation of Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities of the Community of Madrid, FAMMA, signed a collaboration agreement this Wednesday with the aim of working together for this group.
Esteban Mate, Deputy Director General of Management of the Mutual and Javier Font, president of FAMMA, were in charge of signing the agreement, which includes, among other points, advising mutual members on matters related to the removal of barriers, both in adapting the workplace and in the private homes of injured workers. It also stipulates advice from FAMMA on obtaining the disability degree certificate and promoting the personal autonomy of workers.
Esteban Mate assured that for Fraternidad-Muprespa it is a “luxury” to have the experience of FAMMA and Cocemfe, the Spanish Confederation of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities in which it is a member.

This agreement, which is born from the desire to comply with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, has a validity initial two years. The actions that both parties will undertake in the future will be the result of the consensus of the members of the bilateral commission that will implement the specific action plans.
FAMMA, a non-profit organization, is made up of 48 entities and represents more than 194,000 people with disabilities in the Community of Madrid, the area to which this agreement is limited.
