Driving awareness days with virtual reality equipment in Almería

On September 24 and 25, the provincial management of Fraternidad-Muprespa in Almería hosted two awareness days on road safety, which were carried out with the immersive virtual reality team. The participants were employees of Telefónica Spain. 

Alfonso Gerez, an ORP technician from the Mutua in the province, was in charge of explaining the main factors that come together in a traffic accident: the first of them is the human factor. On other occasions the cause of an accident may be adverse weather, the introduction of an insect into the passenger compartment or glare. Gerez also projected different videos about the damage and consequences of traffic accidents. 

Finally, the practical part was carried out, with one of the virtual reality equipment that Fraternidad-Muprespa has and which, to observe the reaction of the students, simulates driving in a vehicle that is experiencing difficulties. Finally, attendees shared their driving experiences, in a day that they valued very positively.
