Fraternidad-Muprespa renews its QH + 2 star accreditation
The Institute for the Development and Integration of Healthcare (IDIS Foundation) celebrated last Friday the delivery of the VII call for QH (Quality Healthcare) Accreditation, an event that was carried out in online format due to the pandemic caused by COVID-19. Both the representatives of the IDIS Foundation and the spokespersons for the accredited entities have highlighted that the pandemic has been a particularly important moment for hospital quality.
Fraternidad Muprespa is one of the entities that has renewed the accreditation it had had since 2018, the QH + 2 stars. The Mutual Collaborator with Social Security obtained the QH+1 star accreditation in 2016 and two years later it improved its category with one more star.
In this VII edition the IDIS Foundation has evaluated a total of 92 applications, of which 60 correspond to private organizations, 22 to public organizations and 10 to mutuals.
The event opened Juan Abarca, President of the IDIS Foundation, who highlighted that accreditation is important “for entities dedicated to health care to continue the effort of continuous improvement” and that is why he called on the management teams not to lose focus on what is truly relevant. Marta Villanueva, General Director of the IDIS Foundation, detailed the pride that the entity feels that so many organizations continue on the path of quality, “a clear recognition that an organization is improving over time and even more so at this time of pandemic, which has stood out for its hospital quality.”
Fernando Mugarza, Director of Corporate Development of the IDIS Foundation, took the floor next to highlight that the centers are always the protagonists in days like the one held, but much more so if possible in the present circumstances. He also gave way to the video of the spokespersons for the new accredited centers, who highlighted their responsibility and commitment. Raquel Barba, Manager of the Rey Juan Carlos University Hospital, in Móstoles, spoke on behalf of all these centers, who assured that "it is the patients who determine our activity and stimulate us to improve permanently. Patient care has become more valued lately due to the pandemic."
The final touch was the keynote speech by Dr. Mario Alonso Puig, an expert researcher on how to develop human potential, with the presentation titled “Learning to be resilient in a VUCA world (acronyms that correspond in English to volatile, complex, uncertain and ambiguous) and where he emphasized that both private and public medicine have set an example of unity in these months, and that the different types of medicine do not have to be distant since when they cooperate the result is brilliant.
Ángel de Benito, Secretary General of the IDIS Foundation and member of the accreditation audit committee, was responsible for the closing of the event.
