World Environment Day
Fraternidad-Muprespa, Mutual Collaborator with Social Security, joins the celebration of World Environment Day as well as the initiative, the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, 10 years to restore our planet. 10 actions that matter. Daily. #RestoreGeneration.
For a long time, our planet's ecosystems have been exploited and destroyed. Every three seconds, the world loses an area of forest equivalent to a football field and in the last century alone, half of our wetlands have been destroyed.
Restoring ecosystems means preventing, stopping and reversing this damage. Without a doubt, the objective of Fraternidad-Muprespa is to prevent, protect and cure our patients with the most advanced technology and the best professionals and to bet on the environment, reducing our consumption, consuming green energy and verifying our carbon footprint. La Mutua has reduced its carbon footprint by 75% in four years, thus ratifying its commitment to the fight against climate change.HTMLTAG19___
The appearance of COVID-19 has also shown how disastrous the consequences of the loss of ecosystems can be. By reducing the area of natural habitat for animals, we have created ideal conditions for pathogens to spread. 70% of diseases have zoonotic origin. That is, they are produced by pathogenic microorganisms that are transmitted to humans through an animal species.
Fraternidad-Muprespa, has taken advantage of this celebration to focus on its campaign I Want to Be Green, with which it conveys the message that, in addition to protecting workers in their workplace, it also promotes their environmental awareness. #IWantToBeGreen
