Almería hosts the 1st Conference on work accidents

On March 24 and 25, the “First Conference on Workplace Accidents” was held. Organized by the Illustrious Associations of Social Graduates and Lawyers of Almería, they were coordinated by Diego Zafra, Magistrate-Judge of the Social Court number 1, and María del Mar Pérez, head of the Provincial Labor and Social Security Inspection of Almería.

Sonia Medrano, Southern Territorial Director of Fraternidad-Muprespa, participated in the conference with the presentation “The qualification of accident, to debate”, in which he explained the position of the Mutual Insurance Companies as Collaborators of the Social security, impartiality regarding the acceptance or rejection of the processes produced, insofar as, said act implies a responsibility that must be justified, not only before workers and employers, but also before the competent administrative authorities, such as the Courts.

The interest shown in the consideration of the accident managed to produce a fluid and illustrative debate, both on the accident in itinere and on the determination of contingency or the surcharge of benefits for corporate responsibility.
