José Ignacio Mora participates in the IRSST conference on the classification of Occupational Diseases
He Regional Institute of Safety and Health at Work (IRSST) of the Community of Madrid, held a virtual conference on April 25 with the title “Understanding the picture of occupational diseases” framed in the actions of Health and Safety Week. A day with the purpose of bringing closer the structure and organization of the Table of Occupational Diseases regulated by the RD. 1299/2006,
The event has been inaugurated by Teresa Moreno Carmona, responsible for the IRSST Technical Training and Awareness Unit, who has highlighted the importance of notification and investigation of occupational diseases in companies, highlighting the interest in knowing the problems of detecting this type of contingency.
On behalf of Fraternidad-Muprespa the director of the Care Coordination and Control Center of the IT, the Dr. José Ignacio Mora, has explained in his presentation “The role of the Mutual Fund in the classification of Occupational Diseases”, the need to value the collaboration established between the Prevention Services of the companies, the doctors of the Public Health Service and the Mutual Funds Collaborating with Social Security, some detecting suspicions and others carrying out the study to confirm the contingency.
The role of companies' Prevention Services is essential to detect and measure the risks to which workers are exposed.
Below the Dr. Mayelin Navarro Scott, Healthcare Director of the Grupo Pensa Company Medical Service for AXA Seguros, shared in her presentation on “Glaucoma as an invisible threat”, the importance of carrying out health promotion campaigns as a opportunity to make possible occupational diseases visible.
To end the day the Dr. Ana María Rodríguez Gómez has shared a vision of the Schedule of Occupational Diseases for people who are not health and safety professionals.
