F-M receives verification of its Carbon Footprint and Information Security certificate from AENOR

Fraternidad-Muprespa has received from AENOR the integrated system certificate in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 9001:2018 standards and ISO/IEC 27001 quality management and of the Information Security in the field of Information Systems, as well as the certificate of Carbon Footprint verification in accordance with GHG protocol, in an event that took place this Thursday morning at the offices of the Mutua on Madrid's Calle de José Abascal 50, where the new headquarters of the general subdirectorate of Systems and Services is located.Fraternidad-Muprespa.

Gonzalo Piédrola, Director of AENOR for the Central Region and Europe, and Enrique Megia, Director of AENOR in the Community of Madrid, they delivered the certificates to Pedro Serrera, Deputy Director General of Information Systems and Services,Natalia Fdez. Laviada, Deputy Director General of Prevention, Quality and Communication, and Elena Iglesias, director of the Department of Quality and Environment.  

Both Piédrola and Megía were grateful for the trust that Fraternidad-Muprespa puts in AENOR, an entity “that is next to the Mutua”.

Information Security Certification

Fraternidad-Muprespa has an integrated system ISO 9001+ ISO 27001 in the field of Information Systems that support computer and telecommunications infrastructure management activities. The first is the quality standard par excellence while the second belongs to the field of information technology, security techniques and information security management systems that allow the assurance, confidentiality and integrity of data and information, as well as the systems that process it.

Pedro Serrera highlighted upon receiving the certificates that “in Fraternidad-Muprespa We are fervent believers in the importance of certification of management systems." He also highlighted that this event coincides with the 18th anniversary of obtaining the first certification, which had as its scope the development of computer applications because "we understood that if we certified the development of applications it was a way of applying continuous improvement to all the processes that were supported in the development of applications: electronic medical records, budget management, customer service, etc."

Verification of the Carbon Footprint

This verification includes both emissions coming from the organization itself and those over which it has influence. On this occasion, the Hospital is also included in the verification.Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana, which opened its doors in 2019. The Mutual Collaborator with Social Security has been verifying its carbon footprint since 2016. Currently it is estimated that the Carbon Footprint of Fraternidad-Muprespa is 897.95 tons of CO2.

"In  Fraternidad-Muprespa We have internalized that each one from their position has to collaborate to improve the current environmental situation by working on the right path. Furthermore, we consider it of great importance to share with society information about how our activity contributes to global warming, and what we do to reduce this contribution, through energy efficiency, self-consumption and awareness, pillars for this reduction,” said Elena Iglesias.
