International Nursing Day: we join the #noteenREDES campaign against health misinformation
At a time when it is common to consult social networks to resolve doubts about health, Fraternidad‑Muprespa is unites to the #noteenREDES campaign promoted by the Collegiate Medical Organization (OMC), which warns of the risk of obtaining information through unverified content and the rise of pseudotherapies and recommendations without a scientific basis.
This affects Sandra Alegre, nurse and coordinator of the Medical Management Center of Fraternidad-Muprespa, who in this video explains to us that getting information about health on social networks is quick and accessible, but it is not safe.
The WTO recalls that many of the messages that circulate on networks: viral advice, videos from supposed “experts” or miracle treatments, can generate confusion, delay appropriate care or even put health at risk.
