On the occasion of Personal Data Protection Day, which is celebrated on January 28 in Europe, in Fraternidad-Muprespa We take this opportunity to highlight the value that it represents for us to maintain strict compliance with the regulations that regulate this fundamental right that all citizens have.

The main purpose of the right to data protection is to recognize citizens' ability to control their personal data and the ability to dispose of and decide on it.

The data processed in Fraternidad-Muprespa is mainly health-related data that, for the purposes of current regulations, is considered “Specially protected data”. Therefore, it is very important for us to act with due caution, avoiding at all costs that this fundamental right is violated.

For all of the above, we work intensively, as part of our information security policy, to comply with good practices in data processing:

• Do not share passwords for access to internal systems
• Deposit documents containing personal data in recycling boxes, and NEVER in trash cans or public containers.
• Use paper shredders.
• Safely destroy CDs, DVDs or any storage device.
• Keep documents in locked cabinets, with restricted access.
• Enforce the policy of clean tables and locking terminals.
• Encrypt information sent by email that contains sensitive data, and always use the corporate email account.

For Fraternidad-Muprespa, information security is a very important factor in the desire to offer mutual members a service of the highest quality.
