AT Fraternidad-Muprespa WE COLLECT 881 MOBILES IN THE CAMPAIGN TO SUPPORT THE AEPM

At Fraternidad Muprespa we have collected 881 mobile phones in the solidarity campaign to support the Spanish Association of Mitochondrial Pathologies (AEPM). This initiative began on September 13 and ended at the beginning of December.
The purpose of this campaign is to raise funds for research into new drugs that improve the quality of life of people affected by mitochondrial pathologies. A disease that increasingly affects the adult population, although children are still the main affected.

Mitochondrial diseases are disorders derived from the deficiency of one or more proteins located in the mitochondria and involved in metabolism; Its origin can be found due to mutations in the mitochondrial DNA or due to mutations in nuclear genes that encode proteins involved in the correct functioning of the mitochondria.

Depending on the affected cells, symptoms can cause: loss of motor control, muscle weakness, pain, gastrointestinal disorders, swallowing difficulties, growth retardation, heart disease, liver disease, diabetes, respiratory complications, seizures, visual and hearing problems, lactic acidosis, developmental delays, susceptibility to infections, fertility problems and hormonal problems.

At Fraternidad Muprespa we have managed to raise 881 terminals for this purpose; a campaign that has enjoyed great acceptance and in which both the Mutua staff and mutual members have participated, who have left their cell phones in our Delegations. 

The Corporate Social Responsibility department has been in charge of organizing and managing this campaign.

A social project that at Fraternidad Muprespa we have successfully completed, another step that the Mutual has with its commitment to society.
