He National Social Security Institute, he Official College of Social Graduates and the Mutual Fraternidad-Muprespa, held an information day on “News in Social Security and R.D. 625/2014” on November 18 in Palencia.

The event was attended by a large number of professionals from the world of work, completing the capacity of the INSS Provincial Directorate assembly hall.

Ms. María Victoria Valbuena Fernández, Provincial Director of the INSS and TGSS of Palencia, presented the event, making a brief reference to the R.D. 625/2014, on the control and management of Temporary Disability processes and their scope of application, the fundamental reasons for its publication, its content and finally its entry into force. It has also analyzed the main advantages offered by the Telematics Administration and the regulatory framework in which, through practical cases, the services available in the Social Security Electronic Headquarters are developed, which is structured in four sections: Online Services; Edict and Announcement Board; My notifications and Electronic Registration. It deserves special mention, due to its novelty and usefulness, its presentation of access to services through username and password and a presentation of the “Your Social Security” portal: New tool of the National Institute of Social Security that will allow users to carry out the most requested procedures in the field of managing Social Security benefits through the Internet and obtain personalized and updated information about their relationship with the system.

Subsequently,Mr. Manuel López Sacristán, Territorial Coordinator of Economic Benefits of the Northwest Zone of Fraternidad-Muprespa, has made the following presentation on the R.D. 625/2014, highlighting the substantial differences that this new regulation has on the control and management of Temporary Disability processes in the first 365 days of duration, with respect to previous regulations.

Finally,Mr. Javier Saldaña Arroyo, Provincial Director of Fraternidad-Muprespa, has thanked the Provincial Directorate of the INSS and the Official College of Social Graduates of Palencia, represented by its President Ms. Esther Urraca Fernández and for its Vowel Ms. Maria Manuel Husillos, their willingness and collaboration in the organization of this day.
