Fraternidad-Muprespa CELEBRATES A DAY IN SANTANDER TITLED EXPOSURE TO FLOUR DUST
On May 24, the Mutual Collaborator with Social Security Fraternidad-Muprespa, in collaboration with the Cantabrian Institute of Safety and Health at Work, held an information day on “Exposure to flour dust”. Managers, risk prevention technicians and other professionals in the food sector attended this event.
Mr. Fernando Corres Suberviola, senior technician in Occupational Risk Prevention at Fraternidad-Muprespa, has developed a presentation on the importance of raising awareness towards these sectors and added that “ Although flour has been one of humanity's basic foods for centuries, at the same time it can be a danger to those who work with it. The origin of the problem is the fact that these people frequently breathe flour dust suspended in the air, which can lead to the disease known as “baker's asthma”, as well as other allergic conditions.”.
To end the day, the Cantabrian Institute of Safety and Health at Work presented the projects that are being developed during the current year.
