Fraternidad-Muprespa PARTICIPATES IN AN INTERESTING DAY ON SURROUNDED BRAIN DAMAGE

Last Wednesday, November 9, an interesting conference was held at the Cabueñes Hospital in Gijón with the title “Sudden Brain Injury: Returning Home” organized jointly by CEDA(Acquired Brain Injury Specialized Center) and the Aldaces Foundation.

Miguel Javier Rodríguez Gómez, manager of Area V, presented the day by thanking the more than 140 attendees for their presence.
Subsequently,Ignacio Malaga Dieguez has made an interesting presentation on neurocognitive rehabilitation in childhood acquired brain damage.

Next the psychiatrist Teresa Perez Espinosa, has given a pleasant dissertation on the return home of this type of patients, at the end he has given the floor to Carla Pulido González, who has commented on the importance of the figure of the occupational therapist in the neurorehabilitation process.

After,Agustín Huete García has explained from a sociological point of view, the epidemiology of acquired brain damage and Begoña Calleja García has made a brief presentation about the Stroke Unit housed in the Cabueñes Hospital.

Next, the doctor participated in the round table.Daniel Robreno on behalf of Fremap,Luisa Mendez Lopez, CEDA social worker,Juan Alvarez Barragan, president of the Aindace Foundation and Pablo Asensio del Hoyo on behalf of Fraternidad-Muprespa. In it, the treatment of patients with acquired brain damage has been analyzed from several angles: evaluation, care and special benefits.
