Fraternidad-Muprespa, first mutual to participate in the Spanish green growth group
Fraternidad-Muprespa's strategy is infused with the values of sustainability and sensitivity to the environment. The result of this are the efforts that have been developed to implement Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001, EMAS), initiatives in the field of Social Responsibility and the strategic decision to build the new Hospital del Paseo de La Habana, under the LEED standard (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design).
This vision of Fraternidad-Muprespa finds its reflection, at the corporate level, in the participation of the main national interest group in the fight against climate change and in the adoption of “green” strategies: “ Spanish Green Growth Group”.
He Spanish Green Growth Group (GECV) is made up of a group of Spanish companies that, under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment, aim to participate in the fight against climate change through different initiatives. It acts under the model of Green Growth Group European Commission, which is responsible for defining the energy and environmental agenda in the European Union for 2030 and 2050.
The GECV justifies its existence in the imperative need for close collaboration between the private sector and the public administration in order to meet the important challenge that society faces. the fight against climate change, through a sustainable and low-carbon economy.
Their goals are the following:
· Prepare together with the Government of Spain the strategy to follow regarding the Climate and energy agreement of the European Commission as well as the global agreement of the Paris Summit.
· Face the difficult challenge of avoiding and/or reducing climate change, achieving emissions reductions and conserving the environment.
· Propose an economic growth model compatible with the efficient use of natural resources.
Fraternidad-Muprespa carries out its activity as a Mutual Collaborator with Social Security taking into account the aspects of environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and commitment to the fight against climate change.
