Pedro Serrera Cobos, new Secretary General of Fraternidad-Muprespa
Pedro Serrera, Senior Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, faces this new stage after more than 25 years working in the environment of Mutual Collaborators with Social Security. He has a Master's Degree in Financial Economic Management from the Center for Financial Studies (CEF), and a PADE, Senior Business Management Program from IESE.
He began his career by participating, from the technology area, in the merger between La Fraternidad and Muprespa in 1999, and then joining the new entity,
His extensive career in the entity has allowed him to face challenges from various positions, as director of the Information Systems Center (CIO) leading the digital transformation of the entity and since 2011 as a member of the Management Committee in his position as deputy general director of Information Systems and Services.
In 2015, the Purchasing and Services and Works departments were added to its responsibilities, and in 2024 the Contracting department. In his new role, his knowledge of business operations will be at the service of the entity's Management and provincial directorates.
I take on this new challenge with enthusiasm and confidence, in which I will be fortunate to work alongside an excellent team of professionals to continue improving the service to our mutual members and maintain Fraternidad-Muprespa as the reference Mutual Fund for the leading companies in our country.
In his career, the participation in the construction and provision of the new Fraternidad-Muprespa Hospital in Madrid stands out, inaugurated in 2019 after having achieved the LEED Health Care Platinum certificate, a world record in sustainability score.
Serrera Cobos assumes the management of the network of healthcare centers and provincial directorates in Spain, which provide services to 1,600,000 workers, both employed and self-employed, from 120,000 companies associated with the Mutua.
He replaces Antero Fernández de la Mela, who has remained at the head of the General Secretariat from 2012 until his retirement in June 2025.
