In 1996, the World Physiotherapy Confederation, now called World Physiotherapy (World Physiotherapy), decided to proclaim September 8 as World Physiotherapy Day to publicize the importance of its work in caring for people's health.

On that same day in 1951, 11 national organizations (Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Great Britain, New Zealand, Norway, South Africa, West Germany, Sweden and the United States) founded this organization which currently represents more than 625,000 physical therapists worldwide through its 121 member organizations.

World Physiotherapy is a not-for-profit organization and is registered as a charity in the UK. It has maintained official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO) since 1952, collaborating on work programs to improve global health.

For our part, in Fraternidad-Muprespa, today more than ever, physiotherapy is the protagonist. We are in the third and final wave of a transformation process of the rehabilitation management model. We started this path a little over a year and a half ago, and more than 50 colleagues from various gyms and departments of the Mutua have worked on it.

A process that is coming to an end and that, with the ultimate objective of curing better and faster, places the patient at the center of the process and provides the physiotherapist with greater autonomy and decision-making capacity, putting at their disposal all the necessary technological tools to place Fraternidad-Muprespa at the forefront of the sector.

Parallel to the work of this third wave, the pilot projects in Zaragoza and Valencia that they are putting the new model into practice in their own center and the pilots that will develop the new relationship model with the physiotherapy agreements will soon begin. New gym designs, new therapeutic equipment and the introduction of all types of ICT tools that allow us to develop different modalities of care for the sick also await us because they are the center of our work, our interest and our attention.

Let's continue celebrating physical therapy!
