The exhibition “Prevention Posters of the 20th Century” arrives at the University of Murcia
After having traveled more than 26,000 kilometers through various Spanish cities, the exhibition “Prevention Posters of the 20th Century” is installed in Murcia. It can be visited at the Faculty of Labor Sciences of the Murcia University until next December 3. *
The Vice-Rector for Infrastructure Planning of the University of Murcia, Belén López, was in charge of welcoming those attending the opening ceremony and thanking that the exhibition could be seen at the university center on such an important date for your entity.
Subsequently he gave the floor to José Riquelme, ddean of the Faculty of Labor Sciences, who described as “very fortunate the coincidence of the 50th anniversary of the Faculty with this exhibition, which illustrates not only the evolution of prevention of labor risks, but also the interest in social issues, which led to the creation of this Faculty.” Likewise, thankedthe generosity of Fundación Axa and Fraternidad-Muprespa for taking the sample to a place “a reference in the study of prevention, which has been reflected in the study plans and also in the implementation of a prevention master's degree,” he assured.
Natalia Fdez. deputy general director of Prevention, Quality and Communication of Fraternidad-Muprespa, then took the floor to highlight that she did not imagined “a better environment than the Faculty of Labor Sciences to talk about health, work, occupational well-being and prevention of occupational risks, also when he turns 50.” “For Fraternidad-Muprespa”, he explained, “it is very important to carry out activities consisting of taking prevention to the streets, to locations like this one, close to students who will thus better understand the evolution of prevention in Spain.”
Lastly, Josep Alfonso, general director of the AXA Foundation, highlighted that “every day on average in Spain more than two people die in a work accident, something that we could reduce with preventive measures, without a doubt.”
After the turn of interventions, Antonio José Millán, director of the AXA Chair of Prevention, he took a tour of the exhibition explaining to the attendees the characteristics of the posters on display.
