The meeting, which took place in Getafe on October 18, focused on the management of professional and common contingencies, temporary disability and its impact on union action, and different topics related to the prevention of occupational risks and the control of absenteeism were addressed.

Ángela Hernández, General Secretary of the Southern Region of CCOO of Madrid, inaugurated the event by underlining the importance of knowing the functions of mutual insurance companies and the role they play in social security and prevention of occupational risks.

Pedro Rodríguez, regional deputy director of Fremap Madrid, explained the professional contingency management process, addressing both work accidents and occupational diseases. I also detail the role of mutual insurance companies in risk prevention and assistance in these cases.

José Ignacio Mora, director of the Medical Management Center of Fraternidad-Muprespa, focused his presentation on the management of temporary disability due to common contingencies and how The mutual insurance companies, in coordination with the INSS and the Public Health Services, manage medical leave and discharge, control absenteeism processes and help workers in their recovery.

Jaime González, confederal head of CCOO of Entities Collaborating with Social Security, addressed union action and the role of mutual societies in the defense of workers' rights, highlightingand the importance of active collaboration between unions and mutual societies.

The day culminated with an experience table, where prevention delegates from several companies shared practical cases on occupational risk management, followed by a discussion that allowed attendees to delve deeper into the topics discussed.

The closing was carried out by Fernando Chaves, expert in occupational risk prevention​ from CCOO.
