Fraternidad-Muprespa participates in the V Meeting of CIOs on Artificial Intelligence

Fraternidad-Muprespahas participated in the V Meeting of CIOs (Chief Information Officers) organized byBABEL Information Systems, with the title “Chatbots and artificial intelligence, the next challenges for the company.”

The event was held at the Eurostars Madrid Tower Hotel on October 19, with the presence of system directors from large organizations such as Telefónica, Iberdrola, Acciona and Fraternidad-Muprespa, among others. On behalf of the Mutual Fund, it has attended Pedro Serrera Cobos, deputy director general of Information Systems and Services.

Attendees shared their experiences and offered details of the projects they are carrying out with artificial intelligence, with which they have been working for some years. All of them agreed that the most important thing is not to invest in Artificial Intelligence just for the sake of using it, but to really have a business case. Overall, they highlighted the importance that the implementation of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) technology is having in the efficiency of back office processes, or in the management of fraud and claims; the weight ofbig datain the capture, management and enhancement of the information generated, as well as the application of cognitive technology to provide value in the customer experience, especially in those sectors that have a direct relationship with the end user. Aspects such as the intelligent treatment of images, the recognition of natural language, the use of chatbots, were the subject of debate.

The importance of correctly managing expectations regarding technologies that are not yet mature has been highlighted, seeking a balance between the importance of staying at the forefront and being aware of the real point at which these technologies have to be applied in a productive environment.
