Carrefour and Fraternidad-Muprespa united on World Day for Safety and Health at Work
Carrefour has organized more than 50 conferences, seminars and training sessions simultaneously in 27 Spanish cities on the occasion of World Day for Safety and Health at Work. More than 1,000 Carrefour employees have participated in this initiative.
The presentations and activities developed have placed attendees in the current context of work accidents and absenteeism. Of the factors that must be faced by companies, administration, mutual insurance companies and prevention societies to influence the improvement of workers' health and help companies achieve their corporate objectives.
The sessions were attended by those responsible for prevention and human resources managers at Carrefour.
It is worth highlighting the role that an entity like Fraternidad-Muprespa can play in this new scenario thanks to its current management model.
The celebration began with an informative day, held in the Carrefour Innovation Center in Madrid who has led Juan Antonio Sánchez, director of Labor Relations at Carrefour and who has moderated Javier Rubio, director of Occupational Risk Prevention at Carrefour.
Day that under the title,“Present and future of absenteeism: our management model in a digital world” has stressed the benefits of betting on the health of workers, taking advantage of the possibilities of technology and its promotion by responsible corporations as an element of support for the needs of workers, a line in which Fraternidad-Muprespa is a pioneer.
Arturo Molinero, director of Human Resources and Institutional Relations at Carrefour, who closed the day, highlighted Carrefour's commitment to healthy initiatives as an act of responsibility towards its workers.
As speakers on this day,Carlos Arranz, head of the Health and Safety Unit of the Labor Inspection in Madrid,Juan Dancausa, responsible for Large Accounts at Quirónprevención,Rosa Berlanas, director of the Healthy Company of Quirónprevención and Esteban Mate de Miguel, Deputy Director General of Management of the Fraternidad-Muprespa.

In Bilbao, all those responsible for the shopping centers, human resources and prevention, as well as the Regional directors of Carrefour Norte, attended. The day has been moderated by the Regional Occupational Risk Prevention technician. The first intervention by José Ignacio Mora, director of the I.T. Care Coordination and Control Center. of the Mutua, has dealt with absenteeism in companies. He later spoke Lourdes Iscar, responsible for the Osalan Occupational Health Unit, which has highlighted the importance of Occupational Risk Prevention and its integration into companies. Finally, the doubts raised have been resolved, closing the event with those responsible for Carrefour Norte, who have shown their gratitude to the Vizcaya provincial management team of Fraternidad-Muprespa,Jose Antonio Ramos, as well as José Ignacio Díaz, Northern territorial director of the Mutua, both present at the event, for their help and collaboration in the organization of the day.

regional Carrefour Catalonia,Jesus Inarejos and Antonio Diaz. The day has been moderated by Jesus Saez Carreton, Regional Occupational Risk Prevention technician. The first intervention, by Elena Juanola, director of the Catalan Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, has discussed Occupational Risk Prevention in companies. After this presentation, he intervened Fernando Mena, director of the Deputy Center for Care Coordination and Control of I.T. of the Mutual. Finally, a broad and lively debate was opened, after which the event was closed by those responsible for Carrefour Catalonia, who also showed their gratitude to the Barcelona provincial management team of Fraternidad-Muprespa,Jordi Batalla y Anna Condeminas, present at the event.

In Albacete, informative talks have been held on load handling, overexertion, etc. A round table was also held in which Occupational Risk Prevention was addressed and in which we highlighted the presence of the head of the Occupational Health and Safety Service of the provincial directorate of Economy, Business and Employment in Albacete,Jesus Oliver. Representing Fraternidad-Muprespa,Ana Jaen, Senior Prevention Technician charged with Quotas and Eloy Avila, provincial director of the Mutua Fraternidad-Muprespa in Albacete.
In Murcia, two days have been held aimed at middle managers and workers. The first of them has dealt with the risks of manual handling of loads, preventive measures to avoid them and how to minimize their inherent risks. The second day focused on the role of intermediate bodies in the integration of Occupational Risk Prevention. The directors of the hypermarkets, those responsible for human resources and intermediate bodies in the area have been present.
Both sessions have been presented by the Territorial Director of Carrefour, Ignacio Mayor and the person responsible for Occupational Risk Prevention, Andrea Martinez. Fraternidad-Muprespa, represented on this occasion by the Provincial director of the Mutua,Alejandro López-Briones and who has been in charge of making the introduction , has transmitted to those present the legal nature and powers of the Mutual Collaborators with Social Security. In Caceres, the Provincial management of the Mutua, has collaborated with Carrefour, installing an information stand in one of its centers. The preventive culture has been disseminated among Carrefour's own workers and their customers.
