Fraternidad-Muprespa describes how to avoid accidents due to tractor overturning

Juan José Carrión, Risk Prevention technician at Fraternidad-Muprespa, participated last Monday in a Prevention day in the agricultural and forestry sector. The conference took place in Alcalá de Henares and focused on the regulatory situation of the sector and the analysis of the risks and working conditions of these professionals. 

Carrión focused his presentation on accidents due to tractor overturns, describing the causes of overturns, the types of overturns and the recommendations to be taken into account by these professionals and the protective measures to be adopted in the event of a rollover. He also introduced in his presentation the description of a real case of rollover resulting in death. 

Before the Fraternidad-Muprespa technician's turn came, other similar topics were discussed such as work systems and methods in agricultural and forestry machinery, the use and management of phytosanitary products and their waste, working alone and outdoors, overexertion, aging and occupational illnesses from work in the field, accident prevention and rescue operations. At the end of the day, an interesting discussion took place among those attending the event.
