Fraternidad-Muprespa renews its adherence to the United Nations Global Compact
Fraternidad-Muprespa joined the United Nations Global Compact in 2010, and with this accession acquired the commitment to align its strategy with the values of the UN. Now it has renewed that commitment, which consolidates the entity's will regarding essential values on human rights, labor standards, the environment and corruption.
The path to achieving this commitment goes through the sustainable development goals, the SDGs, as well as the UN Agenda 2030, an action plan in favor of people, the planet and prosperity, which also intends to strengthen universal peace and access to justice.
Between September 16 and 25, the Week of Action for the SDGs is celebrated, ten days that seek to delve into the promotion of the challenges that must be taken on to transform the world. For this reason, Fraternidad-Muprespa highlights its responsible action in the economic, social and environmental fields, which materialized in 2021 in the following actions:
• The participation of health personnel in COVID vaccination
• Adherence to the Digital Pact for the protection of people
• The preparation of the IV Mutual Equality Plan
• The renewal of the Teleworking and Flexibility Charter
• The renewal of the biennial commitment to the Diversity Charter
• The renewal of quality and environmental certificates
• The verification of the reduction of the carbon footprint for the fourth year, achieving the “Calculo + Reduzco” seal, which made Fraternidad-Muprespa the first mutual to achieve it
It is also necessary to highlight the prominence of health promotion in the work environment, linked to Sustainable Development Goal 3, Health and Wellbeing, directly linked to the mission of This is reflected in the Report on corporate social responsibility actions and sustainable development objectives.
In the words of Carlos Aranda, managing director of the Mutual Fund, in the letter sent with the aim of renewing its membership in the Global Compact, “the objectives of patient safety and the humanization of processes.”
Companies must assume the responsibility of acting, causing positive impacts that change the way they are managed and improve the well-being of society as a whole. For this reason, Fraternidad-Muprespa, convinced of this duty, supports the SDGs, incorporates them into its daily life and disseminates its progress.
