Together with experts from both the Mutua and the University, the day was attended by representatives from Cajamar, Coexphal, Quirón Prevention, Primaflor Foundation and the INSS. The inauguration was carried out by Gabriel Aguilera, vice-rector of the University, Amós García, Territorial delegate of Employment, Business and Self-Employment of the Government of Andalusia, and Natalia Fdez. Aguilera highlighted that among the missions of the University of Almería is to internally improve safety at work, both in prevention and health, and to work with the mutual insurance company in all possible aspects to improve this objective.
Amós García, for his part, highlighted the importance of creating “safe and healthy work environments and advancing preventive culture in our society as a way to reduce work accidents.” Additionally, urged:

Sonia Medrano, dHTMLTAG72___Southern Territorial Director of Beatriz Sanz, expert in positive psychology at Grupo Cajamar.
Medrano presented data related to the topic of the table, such as that four out of ten people evaluate their mental health negatively, something that has also become a multiplying factor in absences from work. “The cost of this health problem exceeds 45 billion euros, just over 3% of GDP,” he stated, and then proposed “awareness, coherence and perseverance” as solutions for absenteeism.
Alfonso Gerez, Prevention of Fraternidad-Muprespa, was the moderator of the second panel of the day, “New strategies in occupational safety.”Participating were Mª Ángeles Álvarez, head of the Joint Prevention Service of COEXPHAL, David Parra, HR director of Primaflor, and Alejandro Ramos, head of Quirón Products Prevention.
