Fraternidad-Muprespa has celebrated this marts within the framework of VIII Work Road Safety Week, whose motto is “Safe driving, sustainable mobility”, the webinar titled “Safe and sustainable mobility: from plan to action”. The day brought together experts from different fields to reflect on how companies are moving from commitments to real actions in terms of mobility, integrating road safety into their sustainability strategy.

The session was presented by Mar Morales, director of the Department of Prevention and Health Culture of Fraternidad-Muprespa, who recalled that road accidents continue to be one of the main causes of occupational mortality in Spain. In 2024 they registered 76,327 traffic accidents, 240 of them fatal, figures that show the need to continue promoting prevention and responsible mobility.

The meeting featured three leading speakers in a debate moderated David Revillo, prevention consultant for Fraternidad-Muprespa. Oscar Fuertes, CEO of INFOVA Automotion and founding partner of Champions for Safety, highlighted that the key to moving from awareness to action lies in people, in how they live safety every day and in the role of leadership to generate an authentic preventive culture.

Javier Gomez, deputy director of Planning and Contratación de Correos, a mutual company of Fraternidad-Muprespa, shared some of its good practices with one of the largest fleets in the country, demonstrating that prevention is consolidated when it is measured, managed and recognized.

Besides, Carmen Ferrero, Head of Communication and Sustainability at Arval BNP Paribas, stressed that technology and data are allies when it comes to anticipating risks, improving habits and moving towards safer and cleaner mobility.

The day closed Natalia Fernández Laviada, Deputy General Director of Prevention, Quality and Communication of Fraternidad-Muprespa, who thanked the participation and recalled the value of alliances between administrations, companies and organizations, in line with the United Nations SDG 17. “Security is not imposed, it is trained and spread”, he pointed out, highlighting that transforming road safety into a collective responsibility is the great challenge.
