AESPLA HAS PRESENTED THE GUIDE TO GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICES IN ACCESSIBILITY AT THE CONGRESS OF DEPUTIES OF MADRID

Last Tuesday, May 12, an event was held in the Congress of Deputies of Madrid in which the Spanish Association of Occupational Prevention Services (AESPLA), next to the SERES Foundation and the State Reference Center for Personal Autonomy and Technical Aids (CEAPAT), have presented the Guide to Good Business Practices in Accessibility. The Mutual Collaborator with Social Security Fraternidad-Muprespa, belonging to the AESPLA business association, was present at this event.

The preparation of this Guide has been supervised by the INSHT, he Regional Institute of Safety and Health of the Community of Madrid, he Business Department y Employment of Catalonia and the INVASAT. Its purpose is to promote the access of workers with differentiated abilities to all the facilities of their work centers, in favor of the complete integration of said people as well as to consolidate equal opportunities.

At the presentation of the event,Mrs. Lourdes Méndez Monasterio, President of the Comprehensive Disability Policies Commission of the Congress of Deputies,Ms. Concepción Martín de Bustamante, President of AESPLA,Mrs. Ana Sainz Martín, General Director of SERES Foundation and Ms. Mar González Hernández, Deputy Director of Property Safety and Environment at Repsol, who explained in great detail the main points included in the Guide and closed her presentation by commenting that “ The implementation of these measures helps manage talent within an organization, provides diversity and improves the brand image, pride of belonging and the work environment.”.

After the presentation of the most relevant aspects of the Guide, the spokespersons of the different parliamentary groups intervened and finally an interesting discussion was generated, in which several of the attendees spoke, exposing their reflections, doubts and congratulations on the creation of the Good Practices Guide.
