In this context, the three entities have held a work day at the Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana Hospital in Madrid to promote the exchange of hospital knowledge and promote operational synergies that allow the optimization of available resources.

The meeting was attended by Isabel García Gismera, deputy general health director of Asepeyo;Raquel Caballero, director of hospital structures at MC Mutual;Antoni Giro, director of the Health Services Area of ​​MC Mutual;Mª Dolores Soto Mercado, manager of the Asepeyo Coslada Hospital (Madrid);Ernesto Madrid Marcano, manager of the Asepeyo Sant Cugat Hospital (Barcelona);Miguel Franco Lopez, manager of the Asepeyo Cartuja Hospital in Seville;Mª Sagrario Mayoralas, manager of the Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana Hospital in Madrid, and the doctor Alvaro Minuesa, head of the Traumatology service at said hospital. 

The meeting focused on promoting training, knowledge exchange and innovation as strategic axes. Among the proposed measures, the creation of a joint training plan for the permanent updating of medical teams stands out, as well as the holding of shared clinical sessions between the three mutual insurance companies.

During the day, the challenges in the management of healthcare personnel were also analyzed, a particularly relevant topic in the current context of a shortage of physicians. In this sense, the participants have highlighted the importance of adequately planning human resources to guarantee quality care and have proposed exploring collaboration formulas between mutual insurance companies, such as the possibility of sharing professionals in critical situations.

In terms of hospital management, attendees agreed on the need to share experiences to respond to common challenges—among them pharmaceutical management or infection prevention—and take advantage of procedures that have already proven effective.
