Conference in Asturias on women's occupational health, with the presence of Fraternidad-Muprespa

Fraternidad Muprespa was present this Tuesday, May 28, at the "Making visibility of the occupational health of women", organized by the Asturian Institute for Occupational Risk Prevention, IAPRL, and the Association RAMAL Asturias (Support Network for Women in the Workplace), in which the Asturian Women's Institute also collaborates.

The Royal Institute of Asturian Studies, RIDEA, was the setting for this meeting that was held con the occasion of theInternational Day of Action for Human Health Women.

Ana Fernández Castro, director of the Fraternidad-Muprespa Delegation in Gijón and president of the Ramal Association, inaugurated the day together a Borja Sánchez, Minister of Science, Business, Training and Employment of the Government of the Principality and president of the Asturian Institute for Occupational Risk Prevention. 

Fernández Castro explained that Ramal was born with the commitment of achieve___ "real equality by favoring the professional development of women with fewer opportunities." ___Specifically, they are responsible for advising women at risk of exclusion, older or young graduates, among others. Because it is a reality, he added, “that the constant pressure to which women are subjected makes us suffer higher psychosocial risks than men.”

Laviada, subdirectora General de Prevención, Calidad y Comunicación, participó con la ponencia "Women, Work and Health" in which he defended the need to socially consolidate the debate on the health of women. “And this need derives from several causes: because it is social justice, because the law says so, because of the biological differences between men and women and because of the social differences derived from gender,” ___explained, although, conviction, training and culture is the basis of everything. For its part Miryam Hernández, director of the Asturian Institute for Occupational Risk Prevention, assured that the fact that men suffer more accidents in the work "is biased, because the majority occur in masculinized sectors like industry or construction, but in the service sector, which is more feminized, there are a very large number of work accidents resulting from musculoskeletal disorders," ___for what you claimed "more work from all agents involved”.
