Healthcare abroad
If a work accident occurs abroad, the health care provided to the worker will be assimilated to that received in that same area for any contingency in Spain.
What is offered to workers posted abroad? foreigner?

- Urgent assistance and its continuation, with the corresponding means and extension based on the applicable regulations and agreements ___
- Payment of medical transportation prior authorization from the Mutual Fund for the continuation of treatment in national territory.
Requirements for coverage by the Mutual
- The same requirements and under the same terms as in national territory, regarding the insurance relationship.
- Manifestation by the company of the employment relationship of the accident.
- Acceptance of the same by the Mutual.
- In addition, acceptance will be conditional on the company and the worker having completed the necessary procedures in each case and requesting assistance in the centers covered by the regulations or agreements in force.
Procedures
Before making the trip, the worker and the company must carry out the corresponding procedures for workers posted abroad before Social Security:
- Fill out the specific forms for the country of destination and present them to the General Treasury of Social Security (TGSS) Switzerland.
Refund of expenses
- The Mutual Fund will not advance any amount for the healthcare received.
- In countries where community regulations do not apply or in those where assistance is not included under a bilateral agreement, the worker must:
- Go to public centers and present the corresponding form.
- Pay the amount of health care received.
- You may request, with prior documentation proving medical assistance, reimbursement to the Mutual.
