On June 30, the fourth payment was made for a total of 66,782,013.93 euros. This is the extraordinary benefit for self-employed workers affected by the declaration of the state of alarm decreed on March 14 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to data released by AMAT (Association of Mutual Insurance Companies for Work Accidents), the group of entities has granted 96.60% of the applications submitted by the self-employed to benefit from the extraordinary benefit for cessation of activity until June 30, which has allowed economic relief for this group during the most difficult months of the health crisis. Specifically, the aid managed by the Mutual Insurance Sector has reached 1,463,191 self-employed workers throughout Spain, with 58.69% of the beneficiaries concentrated in the regions of Andalusia (259,624), Catalonia (243,233), Madrid (186,649) and the Valencian Community (169,363). 48% of self-employed workers in Spain have taken advantage of this benefit since March.
Until next July 31, any self-employed person who needs help to compensate for the losses suffered during the state of alarm, either because they have been forced to cease their activity or because they have suffered a loss of turnover greater than 75% compared to the previous situation, can request the Extraordinary Benefit for Cessation of Activity for those affected by the declaration of the state of alarm, for the management of the health crisis situation caused by the COVID-19.
In addition, there are new protection measures for the group of self-employed workers that were launched on July 1, and which you can consult here.
If you have been a beneficiary of the previous benefit until June 30 and the self-employed person foresees a reduction of more than 75% in the billing for the third quarter (compared to the previous year), you can request the new benefit for Cessation of Activity and self-employment. You must also meet the requirement of not reaching net income greater than €5,818.75 in said period.
If a seasonal self-employed worker could not access the extraordinary CATA.COVID-19 benefit, he or she will now be able to access a new equivalent benefit, which has been created in order to offer the same possibilities as other self-employed workers. The request for this benefit can be made until the month of October.
If you have been a beneficiary of the extraordinary CATA.COVID-19 benefit until June 30, 2020, the self-employed worker will have the right to an exemption from his Social Security contributions: 100% of the contributions corresponding to the month of July, 50% of those corresponding to August and 25% of those for September. This type of aid, incompatible with the Cessation of Activity benefit, is not managed through the Mutual Collaborators with Social Security and is probably applied ex officio by the General Treasury of Social Security.
Fraternidad Muprespa allows all the procedures that need to be carried out to be carried out through the Digital Office, which you can access here.
